The “Washed process” method is the most common way of wet milling coffee in Hawaii and worldwide. Most coffee drinkers are very familiar with washed processed coffee - so this is a great entry point into our coffees!
Washed Processed means that the fruit of the coffee is pulped and the natural sugars (mucilage) are stripped from the beans using water (hence the name “washed”) before laying them out to dry.
